ABOUT LIZ
With a deep passion and love for animals and wellness, Liz is excited to offer her services as a dog walker, sitter and massage therapist in Austin, Texas. Primarily serving the central downtown area, Liz lends a second set of caring hands to pet owners with a variety of different needs. From puppies to seniors and including pups requiring specialized care, Liz is excited to work with your dog’s individualized needs.
Liz began her practice in canine massage therapy in 2018. She earned her certification at the Holistic Touch Therapy School of Canine Massage and Acupressure, under Dr. Sue Thurman, Ph.D. She practices mindful canine touch therapy, utilizing her internal guidance system to connect with each dog. Like a Reiki practitioner, she consciously directs healing and loving energy as she works on areas of tension or injury. From puppies to seniors and including pups requiring specialized care, Liz works with each dog’s individualized needs.
Not only is Liz dedicated to helping dogs live better lives, but she also is committed to serving others. Together with her beloved pup Djanjo, Liz became involved in the Central Texas organization Divine Canines. The group trains volunteers and their dogs to therapeutically serve local special needs facilities. As a participant, Django and Liz visited Helping Hands Home for Children twice a month the year before his death in December 2018. Starting in 2019, Liz became involved with Austin Pets Alive, where she walks and massages dogs waiting for their forever homes at two locations.
A life-long explorer of health and wellness, Liz maintains a healthy lifestyle with proper nutrition, meditation, daily Qigong, yoga and self-care bodywork. In March 2019, Liz earned her yoga teacher training certification from Dharma Yoga in Austin, where she has practiced yoga for the last five years. She’s also an avid tennis player and takes weekly floor barre ballet classes. In addition to her various pet related trainings, Liz is a graduate of the University of Texas with a B.A. in Psychology and a Masters from the Lyndon Johnson School of Public Affairs.
